Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information when you use StayPK.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, and payment details when you register or make a booking. We also collect usage data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and device information through cookies and analytics tools.
We use your information to process bookings and payments, communicate booking confirmations and updates, provide customer support, improve our platform and personalize your experience, send promotional emails (you can opt out at any time), and comply with legal obligations.
We share your information with hostel owners only to the extent necessary to fulfill your booking (name, contact details, check-in dates). We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers (payment processors, analytics tools) who are contractually obligated to protect it.
StayPK uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our platform. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result. We use Google Analytics to track aggregate usage — no personally identifiable information is shared with Google.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Booking records are kept for 5 years for legal and financial compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to our retention obligations.
We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption, secure payment processing, and restricted access to personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and not share your login credentials.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, opt out of marketing emails, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. StayPK is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of StayPK after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
